We were thankful to find this product. Our dishwasher is the older model and this part is no longer available. This one, with a little extra work, went in our dishwasher and works great. The work was not being able to just plug the part in, it had to be soldered. It was well worth it.There is no rubber gasket in the soap dispenser so the water leaks everytime you run the dishwasher. I had to pay a repair man an extra 150 dollars. Bad productPerfect fit. We are able to use the dishwasher which was the point. The detergent door sometimes takes several pushes to stay closed.(Dishwasher model: Kenmore 665.13459k900)Like mentioned by a few, our detergent dispenser had the little tab broken so the lid would not close. These tabs are tiny and fragile. I recommend using it gently or another replacement is in line.Regarding the unit install: (for the Kenmore dishwasher listed above. Your mileage may vary)Simple install. Need a T15H torx bit and remove the screws around the edge on the inside panel of the dishwasher. Once removed, the front of the dishwasher comes off. Remove the wires (brown) by gently lifting up the tabs and pull. Once the wires are disconnected, remove the metal bracket - you will see a metal bracket with 6 hex screws that you will need to remove with a 3/16 socket, then pull up the 2 plastic clips on the top/left and bottom/right of the detergent dispenser. Install is simply the reverse.Tools to have for this job:- T15H torx bit- 3/16 hex socket- flat head or your nails to lift up the 2 plastic tabs on the dispenserThis fit exactly as needed. Should have looked at it closer before installing because there was a crack near the hinged detergent door. Since it has been removed from the packaging; I hope it holds up.I bought this to replace the dispenser on my dishwasher because the lid and seal on the old one were so limed over from hard water that the lid couldn't close all the way. The old latch wasn't broken, just couldn't make ends meet, no matter how hard I tried to scrape the lime off or press it shut. This part is a perfect direct replacement, but I was laughably disappointed that the latch on the new one is just as weak and poorly-functioning as the limed-up latch on the old one. Brand new out of the box, it's like it's not very eager to fasten. Not a nice hard positive click, like one would hope for. But, I guess that's just how this part is designed. Hopefully it lasts...We recently bought a house with a Whirlpool Quiet Partner II (model DU1345XTVB0) dishwasher, and the rinse dispenser didn't work. It stayed filled with water and/or leaked out the rinse aid and was simply not usable.I found this on Amazon and it appeared to be the correct part, but it's sometimes hard to tell so I was holding my breath, but it was an exact factory replacement of the existing part.Installation was not overly complex, you have to remove the hex-drive screws from the *inside* edges of the door that hold the colored panel to the *outside* of the door, making sure not to remove the similar screws from the top of the door that hold the control panel in place. Once you remove the screws the colored panel will drop off, revealing the back side of this dispenser. The dispenser is held in place with very small hex nuts, and I actually had to run to Lowes to get a socket driver small enough. You have to remove the screws, unhook the wire, save the protective flap of plastic (it hangs down over the dispenser to protect from wayward splashes) and metal retaining frame, remove the old dispenser, insert the new dispenser, hook up the wire, put the retaining frame in place (holding the protective flap), and reinsert the screws.Overall it took about 20 minutes to complete. If I had to do it again it would take 5-10 minutes tops, as it is actually pretty simple once you get the layout of things. With the new dispenser in place things are working great. Before this fix we had stooped to using the little hanging baskets of rinse aid, but those impart a particular (overpowering) smell and also tend to leave a dust-like residue on some metal dishes/utensils. However, we're now rinsing clean and clear.FIVE STARS for this product and the seller. ZERO STARS for this line of Whirlpool/Kenmore dishwashers.I removed the front cover. That is when I saw the wiring harness was disconnected. I plugged it back in. The original dispenser was not broken. This situation is the result of sloppy assembly or a design defect. STRIKE ONE.Another issue with this dishwasher is the control panel. It uses “soft touch” switches to control various functions. Basically, these are little circles labeled “start,” “stop,” etc., on a flat plastic panel. Well, the circles crack and pop up after only a couple of years. This exposes the circuits underneath to water and other contaminants. How long should this last? I have a GE microwave with a similar panel. No problems after 20 years. STRIKE TWO.I have worked for and with several well-known electronics companies (not appliances). The flat plastic piece with the circles is called an overlay. These could be ordered for other products for two bucks. They are held on with adhesive. Pull the old one off. Remove the backing from the new one, align, and press in place. Not Whirlpool! I even contacted the corporate offices. The overlay is not sold separately. It is part of the “Control Panel Assembly.” So, to replace the overlay you must replace all the circuits, pc boards, and wiring even if they are all still working. The cost? North of $250. And the new one has the same design flaw. I use clear packing tape to seal the broken panel. Never again. STRIKE THREE WHIRLPOOL.This was supposed to be a replacement piece to replace the one in this Image, had to take parts off the new piece to put in the old one since you can't get individual parts for this particular whirlpool Dishwasher. New One leaked that's why I used it as for parts only. Overall I'm satisfied that it all worked out at the end..Exact replacement part for my Kenmore dishwasher. Works perfectly. Prompt delivery, thank you!The part was exactly correct, installed very easily, and works as it should. Price and Delivery were spot on.Way to install, fast shipping, and works better than the old one.Conforme. Livraison rapide. Facile à installer.
